So I have a heinously early start at work tomorrow. I'm not ok with this. In some vague attempt to cheer myself up before going to bed (and getting up at 5.30am wtf), I have been perusing the net for funny things. Behold:
Lulz.

Moving images and some to move you
People are awesomely clever. Check out this awesome work from NuFormer Digital Media.
They build an animation based on the facade of a building, then project it on the building, to create a damned cool effect. Definitely a must-see!
I do believe a video resides here
Check out David Mitchell's Soapbox. He's a funny man, with some funny ranting to do.
Check out the brilliance of James Jean!
He's incredible. His work is truly breathtaking.
Coolness! Am I right? I'm right.

The Glorious Etsy Machine
I've found some absolutely divine things on etsy.com lately that have made me weep with joy and horror at the lack of money to my name. Let me share with you some things I covet:
Firstly, the delights of Mama's Little Babies :
DON'T YOU JUST LOVE THEM? Oh god it hurts my soul to not own everything that lady makes. I bought two items for a friend's 21st present, and they look even better in reality. Everything is beautiful, right down to the packaging. She's a talented lady who I will one day track down and keep as a jewelery slave.
Secondly, we have Diana Fayt here, who does beautiful handmade plates/bowls etc. I've never seen more lovely pieces at such fair prices!
Gorgeous :')
Lastly, Kate Birch. She does lovely little paintings on pages of text featuring one of my favourite things: birds!
Delicious! Sorry for the total girlgasm that was this post, but I felt like showing off pretty things. I hope you salivated over them as much as I do.
To finish off this post I've got a clip from a very cool band out of the US called Blonde Redhead. They sing in English, Japanese, Italian and French! Damn they're cool. Here's my favourite track, Publisher (sorry for the video, they don't have an official music video for it):

Books, Tree Houses and Sexy Ladies
Hello kids!
So, I want to link you to a few beautiful art and design blogs I've found lately.
Firstly, this very awesome, crafty play on book cover art. I love errything about Mike Stilkey's work:
Check out this site for more of his awesome creations.
If you've ever wanted to live in a tree house, consider something like this cracked-out creation:
Robert Harvey Oshatz is the brilliant creator of this awesome house. I don't know about you, but I'd feel like a pimpin' Ewok if I lived here. And that's awesome. Check out this blog for more images.
Retro Atelier here is a beautiful photography studio, who recreate portraits of the past. They do an awesome job, as you can see:
People are awesome, amirite?

Had to share this awesome video of the beautiful Nina Simone being amazing:

Bon jour!
So, as it's my first post on this blog, I think it's my prerogative to ramble a little. As I've already stated, this blog of mine is an attempt at rounding up those little things I see every day while cruising around the web that fill me with wonder and awe. I want this to display the more beautiful creations of the world, be it breathtaking scenery or a beautifully hand-painted teacup! Anything that takes my fancy, really. I think people need to see more creative awesomeness, so I hope this helps to contribute.
Here's my song of the day; Lucky, by Radiohead.
I also would like to share some awesome artwork by Nimit Malavia. Show this beautiful website some love.
Enjoy.
